The Prix Dollar is a Group 2 flat horse race in France which is open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older. It is run at Longchamp over a distance of 1,950 metres (about 1 mile and 1¾ furlongs), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late September or early October.

The event was introduced in 1905, and it was initially contested over 3,500 metres. It was named after Dollar, an important stallion in the establishment of thoroughbred breeding in France. The Prix Dollar originally took place in the autumn, but it was moved to the spring in 1909. Simultaneously its distance was cut to 2,200 metres. The race was abandoned from 1915 to 1918 because of World War I.
The 1934 running was titled the Prix du Centenaire. This was to celebrate the centenary of the Société d'Encouragement, which was the sport's main governing body in France at that time. The Prix du Centenaire was run as a limited handicap, and it was contested over 2,100 metres. The prize money was 318,600 francs.
The Prix Dollar was cancelled for much of World War II, with no race from 1940 to 1943. For the following two years it was temporarily switched to Le Tremblay, where it was run over 2,150 metres. It returned to Longchamp in 1946.
The regular distance of the race was cut to 2,000 metres in 1957. It was extended to 2,250 metres in 1958, but it reverted to 2,000 metres in 1960. The event was held at Chantilly in 1965 and 1966. Its current distance, 1,950 metres, was first introduced in 1969.
The 1986 edition of the Prix Dollar was run over 2,000 metres at Chantilly, and it took place on the same day as the Prix du Jockey Club. It was moved to late September upon its return to Longchamp in 1987. It was given its present calendar position, the Saturday of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe weekend, in 1988. The "Arc" itself takes place on the first Sunday in October.
For many years the Prix Dollar was open to horses aged four or older. The minimum age was lowered to three in 1988.
